throwing the marked-up catalogues away

coughing on the telephone

pulling bubbles onto my lap and pressing my face into his back and talking just to feel the hot air reverberate on the warm fur

ignoring bills

reading short stories in stops and starts

making mental lists of things i will not take with me when i move across the city

searching for lost telephone numbers and coughing

all fit for a thursday night, a slow one with nothing terribly important on the calendar
