novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- even at four am on a saturday, when you expect radio filler you can turn to kfox and still get a brilliant three-fer. i watched three science fiction movies today. but only one of them was at my house. earlier than that kate called me to spread the joy of bloody marys in a bar with black velvet cutout wallpaper. and then i saw a group of girls i'd just met all change clothes. clothing swap. kate's house is wide and open and green. her dog, cat, and boyfriend would wander into the living room and then out again, softly comfortable. we sat on the garage and talked about writing and how old friends have changed. the sun was setting purple alabaster reflected in the windows of the kaiser building opposite us. like the building was wearing 1980s mirrored cop glasses. i paused and cocked my head at an angle, looking at the kaiser building's upper right corner where a clothesline was slung. now why would that be there? we simulateneously began to imagine hospital office building stowaway scenarios. 4:29 am - 11.19.06 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
