novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- blonde and brown. sisters, not by blood but by magic i love how heather can write with such finality, even when she's musing over how nothing really ends. she is one of the most amazing people i know, and sometimes when i think about her i remember how fun it was to live with her most of the time. my new roommate, sj, surprised me by knowing heather's band before i played them; they are getting so famous. sj brought me sausage home from work. four different kinds. while i ate it she said she'd always wanted a sister. i am five and a half years her senior, so i get to have the younger sister i always wanted. usually the sisterlike friendships i have don't connote an age difference. she doesn't even mind when i make her change the music. we blasted fleetwood mac and prince and the capricorns and i cut our hair. her ducktail has been illuminated. my mullet has been thinned and feathered. we are now contemplating what to do with the leftover hair. i always want to make something out of leftover hair, and that's one of the reasons i hate getting cuts at salons. sj and i are going to take a series of photographs of people eating ice cream cones. guess what flavors? 12:09 am - 08.24.05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
