shameless request of northwestern pals

hello northwestern friends. i am sorry i am not up there right now bothering you all and hugging you so much that your feet leave the goddamn floor. i miss you. hopefully i can make it up sometime later in the year... just didn't work out right now, monetarily speaking... sad. anyhow, GO SEE MY FRIENDS PLAY MUSIC IN YOUR CITY!!! the dead hensons are superfriendly and amazing people who know their muppet history. muffie. i can practically promise you an amazing rendition of rainbow connection complete with banjo. please go and tell them elka said yay.

the hensons are touring with night after night, which is thee most amazing contemporary band i've heard all summer. their shows are awesome, their sound is tight, and who could not love songs with lyrics like "my pants are getting tighter"? i ask you. who?

get ready for monsters, obsessive compulsive counting, individually-lit platforms and tight pants. and perhaps monsters IN tight pants.

please go see them. do i ever post things like this? i ask you again. no, i don't. they are seriously awesome people and i spoke of my northwestern friends' greatness to a high degree. (mother, don't bring your pet chicken, though. night after night might be too much radness for a chicken to handle.)
