novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- muscle beach needs a roommate We are two girls (and one very fluffy cat) looking for a roommate in a three bedroom loft space in a warehouse in West Oakland. We currently have a male roommate but are open to either a male or female future roomie. We don't want another pet, though, thanks. Rent is $433/mo. $433 deposit. We are on the second floor, in the corner of the building. The apartment has gated parking, wood floors, a bathtub, a large shared common space, a crawl loft for storage, and 3 rooms built by former roommates. Your room stays relatively cool even during a heat wave thanks to its design. The utilities are cheap and, with rent and wireless internet, costs usually stay under $500. The building houses artists and musicians and the noise level reflects this. The neighborhood is industrial/residential and has the added bonus of a chinese/donut/burger place just down the street. One roommate currently has a varied schedule. She likes to watch lots of movies (mostly foriegn, mostly Igmar Bergman), read, have friends over or go outside. She has a girlfriend and a stuffed pet frog (who is highly active). She is 24. She enjoys quiet time and is a vegetarian. Your other roommate is a 26 year old with a frosted mullet. She's the one with the fluffy cat (who you are obligated to love should you choose to move in). She likes to listen to classic rock and eat sausage. She frequents dive bars, thrift stores and taquerias. This is her summer between first and second years in grad school at Mills College, where she is working on her MFA in fiction writing. She smokes but only rarely sneaks a camel light inside (while leaning out a window). We would prefer an easygoing roommate who: Contact elka (mythicalbeasts @ gmail.com) iffin' you're interested. 1:07 pm - 07.04.05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
