novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- muscle beach in a week i will have moved into a warehouse space with amazing people who work on amazing projects. word is a letterpress will roost in our living room, nestled among speakers and amps. davey and my trinkets are coming with me. there is no closet for my gargantuan wardrobe. the rooms in the warehouse were built by the people who moved in last year; two of my walls are unfinished. the struts are showing on my side. i am debating bartering friends' skills -- trading studio time for an extra electric outlet, guilting r into helping me soundproof, taking advantage of b's courteous nature to install drywall. sweet tooth said she'd help spackle. i'm only finishing one wall; the other i think i will tack felt up against, and then hang heavy brocade curtains. fabric blocks sound. at the hardware store today i found hanging rods and various implements for closets; i'll install them on the finished wall and have the biggest, longest closet i've had yet. everything just takes a little work. 9:25 pm - 05.23.05 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
