novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- horse earrings 001. i seem to be missing some entries. wasn't there one about dressing up when sad so you feel more collected? ah well. into the abyss you go. 002. this morning i was so bleary eyed that i stumbled to coffee on my break. the coffee shop was piping sinatra onto the sidewalk, spilling him like he was sewage. i heard his voice from half a block away. drove up and the music swelled. parked and it circled me like i was being haunted by the rat pack, or maybe that was just my exhaustion. circling the coffee shop, talking over frank's loud morning croon was a woman babbling into a cell phone perched between the nook of her shoulder and ear. on her other shoulder? a bright green parrot. his head trained on me as i walked by, reminding me of paintings with sunken eyes designed for a following gaze. mornings are surreal. 003.
