patty's pretty sexy in her own right
i resolved myself to the whole peppermint patty syndrome for so long. it is my theory that peppermint patty was secretly in love with charlie brown, but old chuck never saw it because he was smitten by the pretty redhead girl.
note that the redhead was never featured in any of the peanuts comic strips. charlie brown didn't ever really get to know her, and yet he was infatuated.
the pretty redhead girl never really had much of a personality, but she didn't look like peppermint patty. it has taken me so long to realize that it's ok to want to look pretty like the redhead but still champion patty, and fuck chuck if he can't handle a girl with a brain!
