novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sleeping bear i'm always afraid before the plane takes off. most disasters happen in the first five minutes of the flight. i feel the wobble once the plane steps lightly from the ground, listen to the harsh electric grinding that tells me the landing gear is once again nestled into the metal bird underbelly, and i always feel the whole machine tip downwards in that instant. a little bow. i shake a little, study the people sitting near me and wonder about how they may react to overwhelming feelings of panic in emergency situations. you wouldn't know it, but i tend to buckle down and get things done. 4:59 pm - 03.19.04 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
