swill merchants pitching an industry of cool

it has been about two years since i last watched almost famous but i could still pick out the scene flaws, like where the volkswagen bus driving in the background seems to reverse in different shots, or the extra with the 90's alterna-hair breaking the seventies spell for a few crucial shots while he cheers russell on.

i forgot how much i love this movie. it's about music, the beginnings of the commercialization of rock and roll, geeks who love music, and the musicians who need the geeks to love their music.

and love. it's a love story where the girl ends up alone, which turns the focus back on the music and makes the characters that much more real.

the only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with somebody when you're uncool.
