novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the dirty mixture. there are two small reasons why i regret moving downstairs. my window looks out into the street. passersby can see eye-level into our apartment. no voyeuristic view through an old oak tree for me anymore. the bathroom looks like the 1980's threw up all over it. and not in a good way. the tile are muted, dingy patches of different colors, like mauve and yellow and tan. where water damaged the worst, someone replaced the ruined mauve tiles with bright teal. the shower is pink but the floor is tan and yellow. appliances, paint, and mislaid flooring are peeling up around the edges, revealing while underneath. i want to take a crowbar to all the upturned corners, to peel off all the color. 1:54 pm - 08.09.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
