novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- five years old, one red eye, my middle name tonight joanne painted my portrait. in it i look five years old. after she finished we painted birds and elephants around the figure, and i pressed letterpress type into the canvas. and then a yellow-gold wash over all of it, which made the whole thing look very sleepy and introverted, and not at all reflective of laughter, which was what we were doing when we did it. oh, art. i have to keep making some semblance of you at least once a day or little important things will flake off and i will barely notice until it is too late. 1:02 am - 03.04.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
