hd: ah, a fire sign. i bet you don't stay in relationships very long.
me: no, i don't.
hd: what was your longest? can i guess? six months?
me: about that. and it was long-distance, too.

some people are good at dating and love, and there are others still who suck at it. it is like choosing career goals and working towards an end.

i will never be a mathematician.
