novembre ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i am very excited the third tattoo will marry the fourth. two birds facing each other, flying low under my collarbone. i figured out which birds i wanted today; ripped them out of a BIRDS OF AMERICA handbook at border's and walked out ot the store, staring at them, deciding yes yes. i will draw them from the stolen page (i love how i stole a single page and not the entire book, risked ripping- but not alarm-sounds) larger, detailing their feathers and rounding their beaks. i will wonder how to keep decent while being branded; low on the collarbone requires shirt off bra straps pulled down. i guess i will have to wear a sexy bra. one that i won't mind getting blood on. THE FIRST TATTOO: kissy and jne and i drove to port hueneme and taunted bikers into accepting forty-five dollars in exchange for a thrice outlined star on my right calf. one of the bikers to kissy: does she really like the dallas cowboys or something? mr. biker tattooist had a very heavy hand. it took four burly men to keep me at bay while the needle whirred its way, seemingly through flesh, bone and my whole life screaming at me behind my eyes. THE SECOND TATTOO: linds and srh and i drove to san francisco and bothered a much lighter-handed woman tattooist into perfecting my design for me. another star, blue and red and in the middle of my lower back, which is the most painful place to get tattooed in heather's opinion. srh was being an annoying "girlfriend" and lnds stood back with wide eyes as i hyperventilated and had to sip from a juice box that the kind ink-ladies offered me. birds and stars. i'm in the sky at all times, in migration. 9:57 pm - 04.26.02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
